TM Boss 429 replica cylinder heads

Shotgunhemiparts is proud to offer a vastly improved, modern cast, fully CNC machined, replacement/replica Shotgun 429 cylinder head.

Due to popular demand, we have sold out of the TM replica Boss 429 cylinder heads, but we are currently underway on the 3rd batch run.

Delivery is expected on the new batch Mid-September, 2010

No “O” ring grooves in the deck mean no leaks,

and no scrounging for old parts.

These heads are 100% American engineered, cast, and machined.

Retain the factory ports…

and accept all factory manifolds and accessory brackets with no modifications. Extra thickness on short side means room for porting.

Cylinder head list of features

• 100% American made pattern tooling, casting, and machining
• Fully CNC machined on state of the art equipment
• Virtually 100% OEM exterior appearance
• Modern 356 T-6 heat treated virgin alum. castings, far stronger than OEM.
• All factory and vintage engine accessories bolt-on with no modifications
• Comes with correct appearing square pipe plug in end of the head
• 1pc. Solid bronze guides – machined concentric with seats (OEM were not)
• Ready to run, pre-honed guides, 3-angle 45 deg. valve job set for 2.400″ x 1.900″ stock length valves
• Uses more modern, readily available 11/32 stem valves, .530″ diameter seal O.D.
• High ductile iron, modern alloy valve seats for durability
• Elimination of the factory “O” rings – uses a modified, modern head gasket (sold separately)
• Retains the factory pressure oiling to the rocker system
• Thicker decks, reinforced head bolt columns, thicker combustion chambers
• Retains factory oil drain back location
• Use more modern, readily available 3/4″ reach, gasket seat spark plugs

These heads accept all factory valvetrain components with no modifications.

…and above all, tested tough on the dyno.
